Dumortierite
Dark blue stone with an interesting name, given to him by its discoverer, French paleontologist E.Dumortiera in 1881 in France.
Dumortierite color:
- usually dark blue saturated color, the stone is opaque
Dumortierite occurrence:
- the most important sites in Austria and France in the Alps, another site of the World Namibia, Mosabiku and Madagascar, as well as in Brazil, USA and Canada
- often occurs in the vicinity of the quartz

Stones dumortierite in size of approximately 2-3 cm are important not only for collectors and esotericism in the production of porcelain for staining. The stones can be seen beautiful dark-blue color for which it is sometimes confused with sodalite or lapis lazuli.
Donut stone dumortierite can serve as an appendage of the skin on a chain, or as a therapeutic agent in the treatment of precious stones. In the esoteric dumortierite used against headaches and frequent migraines, so it is good to wear a pendant with you all.
